The UNCG School of Music is kicking off the new academic year with the 10th annual Collage concert, featuring more than 300 student and faculty musicians presenting one captivating performance after another.

“Collage: Atlantic Crossings” returns to UNCG Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. A week later, the UNCG musicians will travel to Raleigh to present the concert – for the very first time – in Meymandi Concert Hall.

The 2017 Collage concert will explore the relationships between Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean through music, with works like Dvorak’s New World Symphony, jazzed-up Bach, sacred music from 18th-century Brazil and much more.

While the Raleigh performance is already sold out, tickets still remain for the Greensboro event. Tickets are $14-$26 for adults, $10-$21 for seniors and $7-$16 for students. All proceeds benefit the School of Music Collage Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are available in person, by phone and online through Triad Stage until Sept. 9. To learn more and to purchase tickets, visit vpa.uncg.edu/collage.
