News Items from UNC Greensboro

The 90s brought a wave of new Halloween traditions with the goal of giving back. The UNCG Association of Nursing Students and the Black Nursing Student Association would “Trick or Treat for Cans,” ringing doorbells in local neighborhoods for can donations instead of candy to benefit Greensboro Urban Ministry and the Food Bank of North Carolina. Greek students started the Annual Greek Treat on campus, where fraternity and sorority members would escort children around campus to trick or treat at various candy stations around campus.
