Rawkin’ Welcome Week 2011
For those about to “RAWK,” we salute you!

Get ready to “rawk” the campus with the annual Rawkin’ Welcome Week celebration, August 19-28.

Rawkin’ Welcome Week 2011 is a series of programs and events designed to welcome and acclimate new students to the UNCG community. It is a fantastic opportunity for new freshmen, transfer and adult students to meet current students, faculty, and staff as we start a new academic year. A few of the programs and events planned for the week include the Party like a RAWKstar dance party, Spartan Service Day, Freshman Summer Reading Project, out-of-state student reception, The Chancellor’s New Student Convocation, and Charlie’s Block Party with games and music, featuring a pep rally with UNCG Cheerleading and Dance teams. Our campus will round out the week with the men’s and women’s soccer games, vs. Duke and Wake Forest, respectively. (See more athletic events.)

You’re invited and encouraged to come out and meet our newest Spartans. For more information, contact either the Office of New Student & Spartan Family Programs or Campus Activities & Programs. For a full schedule of events, visit orientation.uncg.edu/programs/welcomeweek.
