For the second straight year, UNC Greensboro hosted the Triad Business Journal’s “Bizwomen Mentoring Monday” networking event.

Approximately 200 students and young professionals participated in the “speed mentoring” sessions on Feb. 12 in Elliott University Center. Twenty-six women business leaders, working in a variety of industries across the Triad, shared their stories and career advice.

Additionally, participants attended roundtable discussions on various topics related to women in the workplace.

Four UNCG staff members served as mentors for the event: Dr. Julia Mendez Smith, professor of psychology and chancellor’s fellow for campus climate; Dr. Terri Shelton, vice chancellor for research and engagement; Kim Record, director of athletics; and Donna Heath, vice chancellor for information technology services and chief information officer.
