UNCG’s fifth Breastfeeding and Feminism Symposium, titled “Informing Public Health Approaches,” will be March 20 in the Weatherspoon Art Museum.
It is presented by The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness.
Since 2005, the symposia have illuminated constraints mothers experience as they seek to breastfeed their children. Speakers this year will come from the US, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Examples of topics include “Why we need a feminist approach to breastfeeding” and “Breastfeeding and public health: where we are now.”
