UNCG will celebrate our Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 on May 7 and May 8 at the Greensboro Coliseum. In order to be able to honor their earned achievement and follow state and county COVID-19 safety guidelines, the University is holding multiple ceremonies and is in need of staff to support the execution of a safe, joyous Commencement for our students. Please consider staffing one of these Commencement ceremonies:
- May 7 – Class of 2021 Commencement (CAS): Twenty staff members are needed. Staffers are to report by 3:30 p.m. (ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m.)
- May 8 – Class of 2020 Commencement: Twenty staff members are needed. Staffers are to report by 7:00 a.m. (ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m.)
- May 8 – Doctoral Hooding Ceremony for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021: Twenty staff members are needed. Staffers are to report by 12:30 p.m. (ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m.)
Activities include assisting with checking-in graduates, serving as marshals to direct graduates to their college/school seats, and more. In recognition of the efforts of the team working the events and for your convenience, refreshments will be provided for all ceremonies. We will follow COVID-19 safety protocols.

You will need to have the approval of your supervisor if your assignment takes place during normal work hours or if you are seeking to flex your schedule. FLSA non-exempt employees (those eligible for overtime) will be paid for hours worked or receive compensatory time if applicable.
