In order to be able to honor their earned achievement and follow state and county COVID-19 safety guidelines, the University is holding multiple ceremonies and is in need of staff to support the execution of a safe, joyous Commencement for our students. Please consider staffing one of these Commencement ceremonies:

  • May 7 – Class of 2021 Commencement (CAS): Twenty staff members are needed. Staffers are to report by 3:30 p.m. (ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m.)
  • May 8 – Class of 2020 Commencement: Twenty staff members are needed. Staffers are to report by 7:00 a.m. (ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m.)

Activities include assisting with checking-in graduates, serving as marshals to direct graduates to their college/school seats, and more. In recognition of the efforts of the team working the events and for your convenience, refreshments will be provided for all ceremonies. We will follow COVID-19 safety protocols.

To staff commencement, please complete this form no later than Wednesday, April 28: https://forms.gle/VHRSPAPV31FGminM8. You will need to have the approval of your supervisor if your assignment takes place during normal work hours or if you are seeking to flex your schedule. FLSA non-exempt employees (those eligible for overtime) will be paid for hours worked or receive compensatory time if applicable.

Detailed instructions will be provided by email to those signing up.
