The UNCG Women’s Volleyball Club will be hitting the road to compete in the National Collegiate Volleyball Foundation Championship Tournament April 5-7 in Kansas City.
UNCG will be making its second appearance in this event since 2010. Anna McNeely, the Women’s Volleyball Club president, says, “We have won six out of the seven tournaments we competed in this school year. The one event we did not win, we placed third.” The club’s strong performance on the court has lead to the team’s current national ranking of 21st among Div. I universities.
The UNCG Women’s Volleyball Club is a club sport through the Department of Campus Recreation.
In other club sports news, the UNCG Swim Club hosted its first-ever home meet, which was at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, on Feb. 25. The event had approximately 270 swimmers from 13 schools in Virginia and the Carolinas.
