Dr. Dianne Welsh and colleagues (Carmen Bianchi, J.G. Lynn) and three franchisers/franchisees presented a workshop at the Family Firm Institute on ” Franchising and Family Business: A unique way to sustain legacy and values while building a family enterprise.” The conference was held in San Diego.
Additionally, Welsh and Dr. Sharon Alpi (Millikin University) presented a workshop in October at the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers in Kansas City titled “Now is the time for cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship.” She also attended a presentation and dinner at the Kauffman Foundation and attended the board meeting for GCEC. Welsh is one of the founding board members. At UNCG, she is Hayes Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Cross-Disciplinary Program.
