Dr. Michelle Dowd (English) received an award from the City of Chicago Newberry Library for the project “Delinquent Pedigrees: The Spatial Rhetoric of Lineage on the Early Modern Stage.” The abstract states, “This study is the first to demonstrate the centrality of Renaissance drama to constructions of lineage, providing a new understanding of the intersection of theater and England’s social and economic history.”
