Did you know 8 NC Folk Festival performances feature UNC Greensboro students, faculty, and/or alumni? Spartans will take center stage entertaining thousands during the festival. The downtown Greensboro event includes UNCG student Anna Vtipil, this year’s winner of the Not Your Average Folk Festival contest, on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Old Courthouse Stage.

UNCG’s Interpreting, Deaf Education, and Advocacy Services (IDEAS) students and alumni will help our hearing impaired festival goers by providing sign language services throughout the festival. In Center City park, UNCG faculty and researchers will lead hands-on activities and share research for all ages to enjoy.

These are just some of the examples of how UNCG creates remarkable real-world impact, everyday. UNCG is Greensboro’s hometown University with more than 35,000 alumni living, working, and creating a remarkable real-world impact, everyday throughout the Piedmont Triad.

Show your Spartan Spirit by wearing blue and gold to the festival. Stop by the UNCG tent on Saturday, Sept. 10th and share your Spartan Proud story while picking up free give-a-ways.
