A Faculty Senate Forum will be held Wednesday, March 17, from 3-5 p.m. in Virginia Dare Room, Alumni House. Senate Chair Laurie Kennedy-Malone and members of the Faculty Government Committee will first discuss the proposed changes to the university regulations for promotion and tenure and the university-wide evaluation guidelines and guidelines document.
They will also share a proposed new format for organizing the promotion and tenure documents and discuss the proposed process of submitting the required documentation on a secure website for review.
The last part of the meeting will be dedicated to revising the General Education Learning Goal 3, which was passed by the General Faculty in April 2009.
The agenda for the meeting will be sent out to all faculty no later than March 15, with all of the documents that will be discussed attached.
The proposed promotion and tenure changes and the General Education goal change will be discussed at the Faculty Senate Meeting today, March 3.
