The UNCG Career Services Center will host its annual Fall Career Fair this Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness.
This year’s fair will feature 110 employers and graduate programs and is open to undergraduate and graduate students of all disciplines. The fair is designed for students seeking full-time positions after graduation and students who are evaluating graduate school options, as well as juniors and underclassmen seeking internships.
Employers include top companies – such as Cone Health, Volvo and Hanesbrands – government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
“This a great opportunity for students to network and explore a wide variety of organizations,” said Katie Geise, assistant director for recruiter management in the Career Services Center. “Making that face-to-face connection with recruiters makes a big difference.”
Students attending the event are required to dress professionally. The Career Services Center has drop-in hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays for students who are seeking feedback on their resume, assistance with an elevator pitch or any other career-related advising.
This year marks the first year that the event will be held in the Kaplan Center, a move that allows for even more employers to recruit UNCG students. Given the new location on the south end of campus, Geise is encouraging students to plan accordingly and finalize transportation plans in advance. The Spartan Chariot, which provides shuttle services to the Kaplan Center, will operate on its normal schedule.
Additional information can be found on the Career Services Center website or via the UNCG Career Fair Plus app, which allows students to search the list of employers, review the fair map and read career fair tips.
