UNCG’s efforts to support at-risk students and close the achievement gap were recently highlighted by The Chronicle of Higher Education in an article titled “How a University Fights to Keep Students’ Demographics from Becoming Their Destiny.”

The article explains that first-generation and minority students, as well as those who come from low-income backgrounds, are often vulnerable groups on college campuses.
