The UNC Greensboro men’s and women’s basketball teams will compete in the 2021 Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championships presented by General Shale Brick this weekend in Asheville, North Carolina.

The women’s tournament kicks off on Thursday, March 4, and the title game will be played Sunday, March 7. The men’s tournament takes place March 5-8.

What’s at stake

The SoCon Tournament champions will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The men’s team – the regular season champions and No. 1 seed in the tournament – is looking to return to the Big Dance for the first time since 2018.

The women’s squad is hoping to return to the SoCon title game for the second year in a row, after falling short to Samford in the finals last year.

When to watch, and how to tune in

The women’s team, the No. 5 seed, will face off against No. 4 Wofford on Thursday, March 4, at 2:15 p.m. All women’s games will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The men’s team will play either the Citadel or Western Carolina on Saturday, March 6, at noon.

The first round and quarterfinal games of the men’s tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+, the semifinals will be broadcast on ESPNU, and the final will be broadcast on ESPN.
