Minerva’s Academic Curriculum info sessions for faculty and staff

Fall 2021 marks the launch semester for UNCG’s new general education program, Minerva’s Academic Curriculum (MAC). Information about teaching and advising in MAC can be found at mac.uncg.edu. In addition, faculty, advisors, staff and administrators are invited to RSVP for these upcoming live info sessions:

In-person MAC launch event on September 1st

A MAC resource and consultation event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 1st from 12-3pm in Rooms 510 and 511 of the Nursing Instructional Building. Faculty and staff can drop in anytime to learn more about the program’s features and aims, consult with MAC competency experts on designing MAC courses and teaching the competencies, and meet representatives of co-curricular and academic support units whose student and campus engagements compliment MAC’s foundational learning aims. Virtual MAC launch event + webinar series

“MAC Mondays” is a new Zoom webinar series dedicated to all things MAC! The series kicks off on Monday, August 30 from 12-12:40pm with a virtual launch event hosted by members of the General Education Council and the MAC Implementation Committee. This fall, the bi-monthly webinar series also features sessions devoted to MAC advising, proposing a MAC course, and teaching the Foundations, Health & Wellness and Diversity & Equity competencies.
