  • Each month, Staff Senate produces a newsletter, “Rewind” and the October 2020 letter can be found here. 
  • How far along are we on our goal of raising $175,000 for the State Employees Combined Campaign? Find over 400 charities that benefit from pledges to the State Employees Combined Campaign. See UNCG’s total, and where we are in our goal of raising $175,000. Read our last update, and a few personal stories of connection. Have an SECC story to tell? Contact sckirbys@uncg.edu. Additionally, University Advancement has donated 2 tickets to this year’s GSC Winter Wonderlights event. The tickets are for November 4 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sisyphus is a new program at the Greensboro Project Space, exploring musical soundscapes that evolve, recur, and build on each other. The project features music by Cassie Wieland, Eric P. Mandat, and Steve Reich and will culminate with a new piece by Assistant Professor of Clarinet Andy Hudson. Drop-in visits are open November 2nd-6th, with an artist talk on November 4th and three performances on the 6th. See for more information.
  • The HNAC Café will be virtual via Zoom this Friday at 12;30 p.m. and will have the theme “Women, Voting, and Activism in North Carolina.” Mandy Carter (co-founder of SONG and National Black Justice Coalition) and Virginia Adamson (American Association of University  Women NC) will be joined by Dot Kearns, alumna of Women’s College (Class of ’53) and voted 2017 Democratic Woman of NC. The discussion will be moderated by Glenn Perkins, curator of community history at the Greensboro History Museum. All students, faculty, and staff are welcomed.
