When you talk with senior English major Joseph Graham, you get the sense that he was destined for UNCG.

He comes from a long line of Spartans – including his grandmother, mother and brother – and he’s deeply committed to UNCG’s values of diversity, service and excellence.

Now president of UNCG’s Student Government Association (SGA), Graham is dreaming big. His platform this year? “Vision Impacts Legacy.” He’s deeply focused on helping his fellow Spartans find their place on campus – whether that’s in a student organization or within an academic field.

“Once you find your vision, you’ll be able to find your place in the university. You’ll find where you can make your impact,” he said. “And after you leave, you’ll leave your legacy as well.”

In addition to inspiring students, Graham and his executive team are working hard to unify student organizations, increase transparency between students and the administration and establish strong leadership within SGA.

When he’s not fulfilling his presidential duties, you can find Graham at campus events and club tennis tournaments or on Twitter at @GQJosephG, where he chats with #uncg20, reminisces about his life-changing study abroad experience in France and, of course, retweets the Internet’s funniest memes.
