Spartan Steps, a healthy initiative/competition sponsored by Human Resource Services, is underway.
Spartan STEPS is a wellness initiative designed to promote team spirit, a little “friendly” competition among participants, and improve the overall health and wellness of the UNCG community. This semester’s challenge will focus on the “10,000 steps a day for 100 days” concept and challenge departmental teams and individual participants to walk or run the most amounts of steps in 100 days.
As of late last week, more than 350 participants had signed up ready to step their way toward a healthier lifestyle.
Official steps tracking on a special web page began March 15 and will continue during the 100-day challenge period.
It’s not too late to participate. Visit http://web.uncg.edu/hrs/Benefits/Wellness/Spartan_Steps/ for more information or to register as a participant in this semester’s Spartan Steps Challenge.
