Upcoming open forums for Provost finalists

Posted on April 20, 2021

The following University message was sent out to all employees on April 20, 2021.

Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that the finalists for the position of Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor will join us starting next week for virtual meetings, including a Campus Forum. We have a stellar group of finalists, and the University community will have an opportunity to engage with them in virtual forums on the following dates and times:

  • Candidate 1: Tuesday, April 27, 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Candidate 2: Thursday, April 29, 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Candidate 3: Tuesday, May 4, 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Candidate 4: Thursday, May 6, 9-10:30 a.m.

Please use your UNCG credentials to visit the Provost candidates website to access the links to the Open Forums and the candidates’ CVs (to be made available three days before each scheduled forum). Links to an anonymous feedback survey will be available on the aforementioned site.

As forum moderator, I would appreciate your help in creating a robust set of questions to pose to our finalists. I encourage you to submit questions via this Google form no later than Friday, April 23, at 10 a.m. We will also provide opportunities for questions from the gallery during each forum. Thank you to the Faculty and Staff Senates in helping to facilitate the question and answer sessions.

It is my hope that many of you will attend and actively participate, not only to engage the finalists, but also to give them a sense of who we are as a University community. If you would like ASL translation, please contact Kristi Crowther at klcrowth@uncg.edu by Thursday, April 22, at 10 a.m.

Thanking you in advance for your participation.

Best,
Professor Greg Bell
Search Chair
