Spartan Steps is back – and it begins this Friday.
Spartan Steps is a wellness initiative designed to promote team spirit and a little friendly competition among participants, in addition to improving the overall health and wellness of the UNCG community.
The Fall 2010 challenge will focus on the “10,000 steps a day for 100 days” concept and challenge departmental teams and individual participants to walk or run the greatest number of steps in 100 days starting Oct. 1 and concluding Jan. 8. Be sure to check the Spartan Steps calendar for upcoming walks and other related events that may help you step your way towards your best health.
At the end of the 100-day challenge period, the departmental team winner will be awarded the new “bragging rights” and will take over ownership of the traveling Spartan STEPS plaque. Additional prizes will also be awarded during the challenge for individual participation.
Spartan Steps is sponsored by Human Resource Services.
